2022 Update

The Chugiak- Eagle River Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that we will be relaunching our Merry Merchants Pass for 2022 – a free mobile-exclusive pass that allows visitors and locals to check in at local businesses during the Merry Merchant Event and redeem optional discounts!

BUSINESS/ORGANIZATION VENDORS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING: 

Here are the top 5 things BUSINESSES/ORGANIZATIONS need to know to get involved:

1. As a featured partner of Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, your participation is included with your membership dues. Offers are not required to participate, but you will have the opportunity to provide optional deals or discounts for passholders as an incentive to visit your business and spend more money with you!
2. The pass is instantly delivered to a customer’s phone via text and email with no apps to download.
3. This pass is also gamified, which means the more locations passholders check into and redeem discounts at, they will be entered to win a grand prize! (Funded and delivered by Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce.)
4. You will have the (optional) opportunity to provide additional deals or discounts for passholders as an incentive to visit your business and spend more money with you!
5. The redemption process is GPS based, which is very straightforward and will not disrupt your current processes. A passholder will simply present the given discount on their mobile pass to your staff to redeem so long as they are in a close enough proximity to your business. The deal or discount will be time-stamped at the time of redemption, and can only be used once (unless specified otherwise).

We have partnered with the technology company Bandwango, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, to launch this passport. Their team built last year’s Merry Merchant Pass, and has successfully launched many gamified check in trails with destinations in the US and Canada.
